Under The Pacific: The USS Tang

Rarely have the American fleet submarines been represented in WW2 submarine simulations, besides Silent Hunter I and IV. I present Under The Pacific: USS Tang! Starting out as a museum representing what the ill-fated Balao class submarine of the United States Navy would have looked like if she had returned from her fatal final patrol in 1944. For now it will remain a work-in-progress museum ship like that of USS Pampanito, USS Drum, USS Silversides, and so on. Once the submarine itself is completed, the campaign will begin.  I plan to include everything you would see on a Balao submarine, and even allow access to the "lower flats" and never before seen sections below the main platform deck such as the food storage and small arms locker.  Using real plans and documentation from WW2 US Navy Fleetboats, I aim to recreate the submarine as best as I can, using the research materials I have painstakingly hunted. This is a passion project, and it will likely take a long time to complete.
